Google signs CBS, in talks with others on web TV: sources
Alphabet Inc unit Google has reached an agreement with CBS Corp to carry the network on its planned web TV service and is in advanced talks with 21st Century Fox and Viacom Inc to distribute its channels, three sources told Reuters on Wednesday. The service, which will be part of Google's YouTube Platform, is expected to launch in the first quarter and will include all of CBS' content, including live NFL games, one of the sources said. Google's so-called "skinny bundle," with fewer channels than a typical cable subscription, will cost $30 to $40 a month, the source said.

Cleveland Indians on brink as Blue Jays downed
The Cleveland Indians overcame the loss of starting pitcher Trevor Bauer to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-2 and move to the brink of a place in Major League Baseball's World Series. Bauer was removed with blood dripping from a finger wound after stitches to an injury sustained last week split open in the first inning at the Rogers Center. Veteran first baseman Mike Napoli was instrumental in the Cleveland win, doubling off Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman to allow Carlos Santana to open the scoring at the top of the first.

Patriots, Cowboys improve to 5-1 with 14-point wins
New England Patriots star Tom Brady and Dallas Cowboys rookie Dak Prescott each threw three touchdown passes to spark NFL triumphs that boosted each club to 5-1. Brady completed 29-of-35 passes for 376 yards as host New England downed Cincinnati 35-17, while Prescott went 18-of-27 for 247 yards as Dallas won 30-16 at Green Bay. The only NFL club with a better record, the 5-0 Minnesota Vikings, had a bye week.
